BareFoot to Boots

Barefoot to Boots is a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting refugees living in the Kakuma Refugee Camp. The camp is situated in north-western Kenya and home to more than 270,000 people who have fled conflict from across Africa.

It was co-founded in 2014 by Australian and former Adelaide United footballer Awer Mabil and his older brother and one of the Lost Boys of South Sudan Awer Bul. They wanted to create a charity after they returned to the camp and gave out football shirts to refugees. The charity now supports programs across education, health and sport in conjunction with international partners in Kakuma. It also funds critical infrastructure including shelter and sanitation facilities. All programs arise from discussions with refugees during Barefoot To Boots’ regular visits to Kakuma. By focusing on empowering individuals and listening directly to their needs in the camp, Barefoot for Boots aims to create more opportunities, offering hope to people for a better future amid very challenging circumstances.

At The., we have committed to donating 10% of all profits each month to Barefoot To Boots to help the refugees in Kakuma and the host community. We wish to give them the support they deserve that we take for granted.
